This model kit technically features two separate models, with the ability to combine them upon completion. The SDCS Hello Kitty MS-06S Chars Zaku II includes the entirety of the previously released SD MS-06S Zaku II (Char Aznable Custom) with a newly molded SD-sized Hello Kitty model alongside a handful of new conversion parts. The Hello Kitty model in this package features a uniquely colored outfit to match Char’s color scheme; how cute! The SDCS Hello Kitty MS-06S Chars Zaku II only includes one head for Hello Kitty, meaning builders cannot display the Zaku-armored Hello Kitty alongside the standard Hello Kitty without purchasing another model. Bandai organized all of the parts to build Hello Kitty on two runners, one shaped like her head and the other like her bow, showcasing their cleverness and attention to detail. The Hello Kitty model is also fully color-accurate without any color-correcting stickers, using clever layering techniques to create Hello Kitty’s distinctive eyes, whiskers, and nose. Despite its small stature, Hello Kitty does provide a small amount of articulation, including ball-jointed arms, hand rotation, and neck rotation. Builders can also position the legs to recreate her iconic sitting pose. Hello Kitty sits just like this on the original Hello Kitty vinyl coin purse, retailing way back in 1974 for less than a dollar. The only known remaining copy of the coin purse resides in Sanrio’s vault, making infrequent public appearances at various Hello Kitty-themed events.
