The MSN-00100 Hyaku Shiki is a prototype Mobile Suit developed by Anaheim Electronics for the AEUG’s conflict against the Earth Federation. Anaheim Electronics initially designed Hyaku Shiki as the MSN-001 Delta Gundam, a transformable Mobile Suit conceived for the Zeta Project. The Delta Gundam suffered from catastrophic failures with its transformable frame and would never see production. After the AEUG acquired the RX-178 Gundam Mk-II, Anaheim Electronics would use the MK-II’s movable frame technology to further the Zeta Project, redesigning the Delta Gundam as the non-transformable MSN-00100 Hyaku Shiki seen throughout Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam.

Included alongside the MG Hyaku Shiki 2.0 for accessories:

  • BR-M-87 Beam Rifle
  • AE/ZIM.C-BAZ-531 300mm Clay Bazooka
  • Beam Saber x2
  • IDE Head Sensor x2
  • 1/100 Quattro Bajeena Figure
  • Action Base Adapter

The MG Hyaku Shiki is a complete redesign of the original Master Grade version released way back in 2001, comprised entirely of new parts loaded with surface detail! The MG Hyaku Shiki features functioning cockpit hatches on its torso to reveal the 1/100 Quattro Bajeena Figure seated within. The MG Hyaku Shiki features double-jointed limbs and swiveling thighs, providing a wide range of motion to create dynamic poses. This model also features gold-plated armor panels, recreating the Hyaku Shiki’s anti-beam coating with a marvelous display right out of the box! The Mobile Suit’s wing binders feature articulated attachment points for individual posing.

Weapons and Other Notable Attributes

The MG Hyaku Shiki includes the BR-M-87 Beam Rifle as its primary weapon, the same armament used by the MSK-008R Rick Dejih. This weapon can attach to the Hyaku Shiki’s backpack alongside the Clay Bazooka, which features an unfolding handle for handheld use. The Hyaku Shiki sorties with a pair of Beam Sabers attached to its back skirt for engaging enemy Mobile Suits at close range. The MG Hyaku Shiki 2.0 retains its predecessor’s compatibility with the 1/100 scale Ballute System, providing supplemental parts and instructions to equip the sold-separate equipment pack.

Tips & Tricks

By implementing the technique of Top Coating, you can do a great deal to help preserve the longevity of your models. This process will protect the original plastic of your model kit and prepare it for any additional modeling techniques to follow.

You can drastically improve your results by making the details pop on the Hyaku Shiki Ver. 2.0 with Panel Lining. The simplest solution for this is Gundam Markers or Tamiya Panel Line Fluid. Making your own panel wash is always a great option too! It is always recommended to Topcoat with clear gloss beforehand, as some of the products commonly used for Panel Lining will degrade the untreated plastics over time.

Another way to keep adding detail is by applying Stickers/Marking DecalsTop Coating before application will help decals stick to the surface much better. Using Top Coat after application will help hide the seams on traditional sticker decals as well as waterslides. This additional step will also keep them from peeling over time. Using Decals is a great way to add an even greater level of detail to your scale models.

One of my favorite MG kits. A huge improvement over the 1.0, this guy is sleek in all the right ways. The gold coating is so good you won’t want to paint over it, although you will remove some of it in noticeable spots when cutting it from the runner. 10/10 recommend

Perfect kit. The gold, blue and red have never looked better on a kit than they do here. I’m smiling writing this review. I’ve built this kit twice now and would not mind building it a third or fourth time it’s that good. Buy it today!

  3. superzero17 (verified owner)

The hype surrounding this kit is 100% deserved and substantiated. High quality in every aspect: colors, color separation, details, articulation etc., it’s well worth the price tag! I love goooooooooooolllllld!

The inner frame is well designed and enough detail is provide. The gold armor use lots of under gate which help keep the final result clean. This kit is very suitable for straight build. Even without any painting, the completed model looks fantastic.
