HGUC #240 MSN-04II Nightingale

$84.99

The HGUC MSN-04II Nightingale has been on everyone’s mind since its official announcement at Gunpla EXPA Tokyo 2020, and it’s finally here at Gundam Pros! The MSN-04II Nightingale replaces the MSN-04 Sazabi as Char Aznable’s primary Mobile Suit in the Mobile Suit Gundam: Char’s Counterattack – Beltorchicka’s Children novelization. This novel was an alternate retelling of the storyline from Char’s Counterattack and became a manga series in 2014, from which the HGUC MSN-04II Nightingale gets its design. Bandai first attempted to recreate the MSN-04II Nightingale in 2014 with the RE/100 version, but this time around, they mastered it!

This hulking red beast certainly has the firepower to match its appearance; here’s what you’ll find on the runners alongside the MSN-04II Nightingale:

  • Large Mega Beam Rifle
  • Shield
  • Funnels x10
  • Beam Tomahawk
  • Beam Saber (Long Blade) x2
  • Beam Saber (Short Blade) x2
  • Landing Gear

Articulation
 –

Bandai placed a ton of focus on providing a version of the MSN-04II Nightingale that would be solid and sturdy while also capable of dynamic action poses. Builders should expect the MSN-04II Nightingale to be well articulated and capable of holding its weapons in numerous attack poses! To make the most of the MSN-04II Nightingale’s articulation, Bandai recommends an Action Base 4 to get this big cherry tomato up in the air! The three External thrusters attach via a ball joint for easy articulation. The Backpack Binders will rotate and fold back, appearing as though the MSN-04II Nightingale is hurdling through space at maximum velocity!

Weapons and Other Notable Attributes

The HGUC MSN-04II Nightingale features a Mega Particle Cannon mounted on the lower torso of the Mobile Suit. This weapon is only present in the manga version of the design. The Large Mega Beam Rifle uses an articulated bipod for added stability when firing. There is a pair of articulated sub-arms mounted underneath the front skirt armor of the MSN-04II Nightingale. These arms are equipped with Beam Sabers for added protection in close quarters combat. All ten of the Funnel units can separate from the binders for individual displaying. The Beam Tomahawk includes multiple effect parts for deeper customization.

This kit includes:

20 Runners total (A1+A2, B, C, D, E, F[x2], G[x2], H, I, J1, J2, K[x2], L1, L2, M1, M2, SB1)

Description

By implementing the technique of Top Coating, you can do a great deal to help preserve the longevity of your models. This process will protect the original plastic of your model kit and prepare it for any additional modeling techniques to follow.

You can drastically improve your results by making the details pop on the MSN-04II Nightingale with Panel Lining. The simplest solution for this is Gundam Markers or Tamiya Panel Line Fluid. Making your own panel wash is always a great option too! It is always recommended to Topcoat with clear gloss beforehand, as some of the products commonly used for Panel Lining will degrade the untreated plastics over time.

Another way to keep adding detail is by applying Stickers/Marking DecalsTop Coating before application will help decals stick to the surface much better. Using Top Coat after application will help hide the seams on traditional sticker decals as well as waterslides. This additional step will also keep them from peeling over time. Using Decals is a great way to add an even greater level of detail to your scale models.
