The AMS-123X-X Moon Gundam is a very important part of Universal Century History. After its use in the Mobile Suit Moon Gundam manga series, the Moon Gundam would be developed into the MSN-04 Sazabi, the final MS made specifically for Char Aznable himself.

Included with the AMS-123X-X Moon Gundam:

  • Beam Tomahawk
  • Beam Rifle
  • Psycho Plate
  • Butterfly Edge x 2
  • Action Base 5

Articulation

This kit enjoys a well-engineered design, featuring many modern gimmicks and articulation points for you to fall in love with. On top of that, Bandai has gone above and beyond with this kit, as there are no polycaps needed to assemble the suit. Thanks to this, you can expect your AMS-123X-X Moon Gundam to be rock-solid for years to come.

Weapons and Other Notable Attributes

The captivating moon-shaped Psycho Plate is made up of 8 individual units that can be controlled by the AMS-123X-X Moon Gundam’s Pilot thanks to Newtype Technology. Each of the Psycho Plates can separate to be displayed in deployed mode. It seems Bandai felt the Moon Gundam is a design that deserves a display base, so they went out of their way to include not even just a simple stand, but an entire Action Base 5 molded in a sparkly clear black!

This kit includes:

18 Runners total (A1, A2, B, C1, C2, D, E[x2], F1, F2, G1, G2, H[clear], H[green], I1, I2, ACBBA, ACB5)

HGUC #215 AMS-123X-X Moon Gundam

Tips and Tricks –

By implementing the technique of Top Coating, you can do a great deal to help preserve the longevity of your models. This process will protect the original plastic of your model kit and prepare it for any additional modeling techniques to follow.

You can drastically improve your results by making the details pop on the HGUC #215 AMS-123X-X Moon Gundam with Panel Lining. The simplest solution for this is Gundam Markers or Tamiya Panel Line Fluid. If you’re up to a challenge making panel wash is always a great option too! It is always recommended to Topcoat with clear gloss beforehand, as some of the products commonly used for Panel Lining will degrade the untreated plastics over time.

Another way to keep adding detail is by applying Stickers/Marking DecalsTop Coating before the application will help decals stick to the surface much better. Using Top Coat after application will help hide the seams on traditional sticker decals as well as waterslides. This additional step will also keep them from peeling over time. Using Decals is a great way to add an even greater level of detail to your scale models.

One of the best HGs you’ll ever get.

No stickers, no polycaps, and you even get base stand! This kit is based of a manga where some kid discovers the prototype Gundam that was the model made before the Sazabi, which it sounds in the design. The shoulders and legs look awesome, so you get this fun mixture of Zeon and Earth Federation design. There is some great articulation here, where you can create a lot of dynamic poses. you have two choices for eyes/head camera: clear and green.

The best part is the psycho plates! Not only is every piece detachable, but they can be mixed, and matched in all kinds of ways!

my only gripe is that the forearms can’t hold in the boomerang well, so i just take them out which makes the forearms hollow since there is no cover for them.

its honestly such a small complaint though, and i couldn’t ask for a better kit.

This is truly a perfect HG kit. Seriously worth the price tag.

  3. wayrex (verified owner)

One of the best hg kits out there. Highly recommend even though price is little higher than the average normal HG.

  4. Alex Dino (verified owner)

Definitely one of the best HGs ever made, almost perfect color separation without stickers and lack of polycaps and great articulation
