#06 Nine Snake Pirate Ship One Piece Grand Ship Collection

The Nine Snake Pirate Ship is the flagship of the Kuja Pirates, a women-only band of pirates hailing from the island Amazon Lily within the Calm Belt. Despite its name, the Calm Belt is a dangerous and almost impossible part of the sea to navigate, as there is no sea current or wind to carry ships. The waters of the Calm Belt host countless Sea Kings looking to devour incoming ships and their inhabitants. These circumstances gave reason for the Nine Snake Pirate Ship’s unique design, featuring two gigantic sea snakes, known as Yuda, at its bow. These ferocious creatures are native to the Calm Belt, able to navigate the peculiar waters and dissuade any Sea Kings from interfering.

Fun Fact: The Kuja Pirates are the most capable warriors of the Kuja, an isolationist tribe of only women from the island Amazon Lily. To grow their population and continue their lineage, members of the Kuja leave Amazon Lily temporarily to find a suitable mate. Upon conception, the pregnant Kuja returns to Amazon Lily without the father, always giving birth to a female child. It is unknown whether the women of the Kuja Tribe are incapable of giving birth to male children or if returning to the island ensures the child will be a girl.
